Coming Together for Alice Batliner
Donation protected
As some of you know, Alice is undergoing brain surgery on Tuesday, January 30th to remove a golf-ball sized tumor that is pushing against her optic nerve, seriously impacting vision in her left eye.
The news of the tumor came as a catastrophic shock, given she was misdiagnosed several months previously, but Alice took it like a champ – because that’s the strong Queen she is. Doctors hope for a successful surgery to save her right eye, but she will likely never see clearly out of her left eye again.
The surgery will be approx. 16 hours long, her recovery will be 10+ weeks long, and her doctors have prepared her for the pain and challenges that will come in the first few weeks.
With the piling medical bills and loss of income for the foreseeable future, it’s time for us to rally around and support her so she can heal with peace of mind.
None of us knows anyone quite like Alice. She’s a beam of light and support, a creative visionary who can (literally) build whatever her mind dreams up. She creates spaces that become a second home to many, and always has an open door for a friend in need. In the nearly 10 years at Super X Ranch, Alice has created a community and safe-space that many of us have enjoyed as a retreat, a time of reflection, a vacation, a space for solitude, a wedding, a party, a photoshoot, an art exhibit, and more.
It's Alice's turn now for us to create a safe space for her as she heals. Please consider donating to this fund.
Please Note: Alice will be recovering in LA for the first few months. If you're inclined to send a card or flowers, please message me and/or DM cousin Alicia on Instagram @museoalicia.
