Hey Friends,

My name is Shanda, and I am one of Ioanna's close friends here in San Diego.

It's with a sad heart that I tell you Ioanna's mom passed away this morning. Ioanna is currently on a flight out to Greece to be with her sister and to arrange for the funeral.

As you know Ioanna is very close with her mom. Her death was unexpected. She was admitted to the hosipital last night with a blockage to her heart. Unfortunately, they realized that there was not much they could do. She was made comfortable and was able to pass peacefully surounded by her family.

 As always Ioanna is strong and handling everything as best she can. 

I know in times like these we all wish there was something we could do. For the time being I think the best way we can all help is to send her your thoughts and prayers over email and to possibly help financially for funeral arrangements, flights, ect.
