US Youth Nationals for Indios

Here we go again!
The Boys U18 SSJ Indios won Regionals in Idaho last week and are preparing for the next big step…Nationals in Texas, July 24-31st.

We are in dire need of your support to get these young men to represent California, nationally.
Soccer is expensive. Field rentals, uniforms, traveling out of the state, hotels, transportation, food. We don’t want nothing fancy, we just want to get there and play. Pretty much everything is paid in advance and from their own pocket.

No amount is too small or insignificant. We appreciate your donation.

Regionals in Idaho was tough but not impossible for Indios. Twenty top teams with some of the best players already committed to Universities and others playing for the National US team were our challengers. Teams from Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, California, Arizona, Idaho, Alaska, Washington, Utah, Colorado, and Oregon were competing for the chance to go to Nationals.
Indios stayed strong though out the tournament defeating FC Boulder Elite from Colorado, 2-1. Sparta 98 Premier from Utah, 3-1. Tied 3-3 against CCV Stars from Arizona. Then, we advanced to quarter finals defeating 4-1 the FC Toros from New Mexico giving us a pass to semi finals where we defeated TSA Red from Arizona, 4-1 and taking us straight to the final where we became Region 4 champions, winning DMS 11 Academy from California South, 2-0.

Yes, we are that good. We have talent, we play with passion and love for the game. We have become a family after all those years. We learned from our mistakes, before we would loose some and win others but now is different, our sacrifices on practice nights are paying off. We are strong. We are one. We can do this!!

I have attached a very interesting article named Pay-to-Play below. In my personal and very humble opinion the US National team needs to look a little further for prospective players, they need to see past the names “Elite” , “Premier” and “Academy” to be considered for recruitment. Once they overcome the name delusion they would be able to play and win the “big” teams.
