In Loving Memory of Sony Mathew — Devoted Dad, Husband, Son, Friend, Coach, and Neighbor
On the evening of July 16, 2025, our community was shaken by heartbreaking news — Sony Mathew, a deeply loved husband, proud father of three young children, devoted son, trusted friend and neighbor to many, was involved in a devastating car accident.
While returning home from work, driving from Houston to Dallas, Sony’s life was suddenly and tragically altered just an hour from home. Despite the heroic efforts of the medical team at Methodist Dallas Medical Center, his injuries were too severe to survive. On July 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, Sony went to be with the Lord.
Sony will always be remembered for his incredible warmth, quiet strength, and his tireless devotion to his family, friends, and community. His passing leaves a deep and irreplaceable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Why We’re Asking for Your Help
Sony was the cornerstone of his family—their emotional anchor and sole financial provider. Now, his wife and three young school-age children are left facing not only unimaginable grief but also significant financial uncertainty.
As friends, family, and community, we are coming together to support them—to ease their burdens and provide some stability in the midst of deep sorrow.
Your donation will help cover immediate expenses - funeral costs, medical bills, and other urgent needs - while also giving hope for the future by supporting the well-being and education of Sony’s children.
