Help Loki Get Life-Saving Treatment

Dear friends,

My two kittens, Loki and Thor, have been the light of my life over this past year. They are incredible personalities, the best of friends and brothers.

One week ago, Loki collapsed suddenly. He was rushed to an emergency clinic, and then referred to the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals as he was declining fast. After many tests, it turns out to be FIP- feline infectious peritonitis, an immune complication from feline Covid.

Three years ago, the rapid mortality from FIP was 100%. Since Covid, we have drugs to treat it with an excellent 96% success rate.

The tests and treatments are going to cost 8-10 thousand pounds all together, and there’s no insurance help. 4 thousand of this is the cost of the drug treatment (it’s very pricey!), the rest is tests and hospital stay.

It’s an excruciating situation and an insane amount of money, but I can’t possibly let such a wonderful kitten die by euthanasia at 8 months old, when I know he could almost certainly be successfully cured and go home to his brother.

So I’m going to go ahead. And I would like to ask, if you feel able to help at all, even a few quid, I would be incredibly grateful. I am hoping to raise a portion of the total, just to make the total sum a bit less unmanageable.

He has his whole life ahead of him after this, and the chances of him recovering fully are very strong if he gets treatment.
