Help us get vital medical equipment

Anastacia has had Type 1 Diabetes since she was just 10 months old. This unrelenting, autoimmune disorder is not preventable and has no cure. Insulin is her life support, but also needs to be delicately balanced to prevent devastating side effects, all made harder since she is one of the few that are unable to feel high and low blood sugar levels, and has numerous other medical conditions that are affected by her diabetes, such as her epilepsy.

Complications of this disease are drastic, short term complications occurring almost immediately and long term complications usually occurring within 20 years of diagnosis... My little girl will barely be entering her adult years when this timeframe hits.

Unfortunately her Mum was diagnosed with kidney cancer last year, and is currently in hospital after having most of her bowel & gall bladder removed a month ago for other masses that were found. The time off for surgery and cost of treatments have left us unable to afford CGM treatment which is not covered by health insurance or publicly.

We would appreciate any support we can receive to get this vital piece of equipment back on our daughter. We never ask for help from anyone, but we are now desperate to protect her little fingers & toes, heart, kidneys, eyes, brain and life. Can you please help us.

We have only put our aim at enough money to buy sensors to last 3 months and a transmitter as hers has failed. Thank you.
