Aloha my name is Joed. I am 67, I have been married for 46 years, I am a 32nd-degree Mason, we have no children. I was just diagnosed with anal squamous cell carcinoma. It is a monstrous disease. My wife and I are struggling as an injured high school teacher on work comp for 20 years now (they are getting their wish waiting for me to just die and go away instead of settling my case as they should have 10 years ago). I have lived a good life and now as I grow old we are losing everything we ever worked for our entire lives. I just want the opportunity to grow old in the home I built by hand with the woman I love and my dogs. The treatment I need is called Proton Laser Radiation Therapy and they do not have this in Hawaii where we live. The closest treatment center is in San Diego Ca. and we need assistance in my lodging, meals and transportation for the 6 weeks I will need to be there. My insurance will cover most of the Proton treatment I believe. Without your kindness & help, I will not be able to get the life-saving treatment.
