I retired in 2021 after 25 years in retail due to physical and emotional issues . . When I decided to look for new work again I had no idea it would be so hard to find something and I would be able to grow my savings again . I have found very part time work but still seeking more substantial employment .

My rent was doubled in January and as much as I wanted to find a less expensive dwelling I did not have the means to do so. I do have a room mate , a gentleman in his 70's who is on a very limited income himself and he pays what he can toward rent and utilities but I pay the majority . I allow this because of his age and apparent health issues and before him I had a steady run of bad luck with room mates due to drug or alcohol issues , lack of rent and personality issues . I have not had that with Mike He has been more than a roomie he has been a good friend too and has always been more than honest with me and consistent with rent . I could never think of trying to replace him .

I have applied for rental help and though my hopes are not high , I am praying hard that It will come through because my savings could run out before January .

In the mean time my every day , starting with when I get up in the morning to when i go to sleep at night is filled with worry . A stress free next few months is all I want for Christmas
