On Sunday, June 26, we lost our beloved friend Bonnie. A tractor-trailer struck her early Sunday morning on U.S. 15 at Tippin Road, not far from her parents’ Thurmont home. Maryland State Police said their initial investigation leads them to believe it was a suicide.
The pain and shock of losing her is devastating to so many friends and family.
Bonnie leaves behind two wonderful children Gwendolyn 14, and Elliott 11.
Bonnies' mother Carole says of her daughter: "She was the most amazing woman and friend you could ever meet as most of you know. Always a smile and a helping hand to even strangers. Her accomplishments as a historical restorationist and professional artist in Baltimore are well respected. But her most important accomplishment in life was her two amazing children, Gwendolyn and Elliott . She was so incredibly proud of them. She gave her all to them until she could no longer. I don't know how any of us will ever get over her loss but we must always remember all of the precious moments, days and years of her life and celebrate the time we were given."
“She has so many friends that she’s gathered throughout the years,” Carole said. “I would like people to take from this, get help, have faith in God and try to believe in yourself and find that glimmer of hope. Let people help you find that glimmer of hope.”
Those of us who knew and loved Bonnie want to help ensure that Gwendolyn and Elliott, and the family have everything they need -- now and in the future.
Please contribute to help provide for Bonnie's funeral service, as well as a safety net for her childrens' future as their father, and the family adjusts to life and living without her. These funds may also be used for the kids housing, childcare and education.
