let me introduce myself...
Hello World!! My name is Katheryn Hutt - a born and raised Oregonian, wife, and mother of two beautiful little girls.
I am also a passionate stylist. I specialize in hair and makeup artistry.
After years of doing hair and makeup for my family and friends, I finally decided to pursue it professionally, graduating from Beau Monde College of Hair design in Portland, OR.
I had previously completed many art and business courses at Portland Community College and developed a deep appreciation with how these three things go hand in hand so well and have better equipped me for a successful career. While honing these skills, I have fallen in love with how a beautifully sculpted hair design can transform someone or how I can paint the colors of a sunset onto somebody. They can literally WEAR my art! I cannot express how invigorating that is.
In the last three years, not only have I gained experience behind a salon chair, I have styled for multiple runway shows in Portland, styled for photoshoots used for advertisements for various companies and local bands, and been published in an international magazine for makeup artistry. All these things have given me the E X P E R I E N C E , E D U C A T I O N , and D R I V E to take my career to the next level.
Throughout these experiences, I am able to nurture great relationships with my clients and my surrounding community. So many wonderful people sit in my chair and I get to go home feeling truly blessed by them. My husband and I desire to be rooted in this community and for us to raise our children here. Creating a local business plays a major part in that dream.

I recently have been given an opportunity to purchase a local salon of my very own!! ...BUT I NEED YOUR HELP!!
S O... HOW CAN I HELP??
I am asking for financial support for this endevor. My goal is $10,000. This will go towards the purchase of the salon and the start up fees such as the facility license, insurance, ect. I plan to make this purchase in August!

This salon has been serving the community of Forest Grove OR for 30 years. It is in fact also the location of my very first eyebrow wax as a teenager. It is just a few blocks from our home and the school my children attend. Located in the center of town, on the main street, in a beautiful historic building. The salon is full of charm and lots of potential for growth! This place fits me like a glove and I am excited for the vision I have, and how this salon would fit into our town.
This salon needs a local owner like myself. Someone who understands the pulse of this town. Someone who can infuse fresh ingenuity to old town traditions.
Not only would a locally owned business benifit this town, owning a local business would benifit my family. I grew up in this town and time and time again got to experience this community come together to support one another. I want my children to experience that. I want my children to experience what a person can build with hard work. I want us to continue to be involved in our community and these aspects of our life to be built within this community. This salon would offer my family that stability and location.
