Both my Husband have recently both tested positive for Covid. Monday my Husband was rushed to the ER with shortness of breath, his pulse ox was 35. They put him in ICU with a bypap machine for two days but he began to decline and needed to be put on a ventilator and is still on. He also has pneumonia as well.
Derek’s vent settings are at the max and his stats are still low. His lungs are so inflamed that they can’t get the oxygen into his lungs. It’s called ARDS. The only way he will survive is if he is a candidate for an echmo machine. He would need to be transferred to Penn or Lehigh.
We recently found out that Derek is not a candidate for the echmo machine due to his BMI.
The doctor said he did show a slight improvement over night, praise God!! All we can continue to do Is pray and believe God will heal his lungs We are praying and thanking God for this miracle.
I was recently rushed to the Hospital with shortness or breath, pulse ox was 79-80. They ran a bunch of tests and not only am I positive with Covid I also have bilateral pneumonia. I’m slowly getting better. They are still going to keep me.
I will say with Dereks past medical bills already and now all this time in the hospital it’s going to be pretty expensive.
Also I DO NOT have a lot of paid time so needless to say I have no clue how I will pay our bills. I’ve missed over a week so far and starting on another week.
