Brian and Buttwheat Need a Home
Donation protected
I am writing on behalf of a man I recently met named Brian and his faithful companion, a dog named Buttwheat. Brian fell on hard times living in Missouri and decided to make his way on foot with Buttwheat to Florida hoping to find a better chance at life. Along the way he was given a bicycle with a milk crate attached for Buttwheat to ride in making his journey
'a bit' easier. The two souls stopped in Wilmington North Carolina to see the ocean for the first time and decided to stay. Brian lived alone in a tent for weeks while Buttwheat stayed with a woman from a local church. Brian's primary concern is Buttwheat's safety and leaving him alone all day in a tent while he worked was not a good place. Brian has moved into an old, run down rusty shed and Buttwheat lives outside, again not the best conditions but a step up from a tent. Brian's hope is to find an affordable, safe place to live that will accept pets. Brian works odd jobs along with a part time job at a packaging plant. He is working hard to make a new life for he and Buttwheat and is humbled and appreciative of all assistance given to him.
Many of us are fortunate to have a comfortable place to live, food to eat and feel safe. For others that is not the case and I believe we must all try to help one another. As the saying goes, there but for the grace of God go I.
Thank you so much for reading this plea. I hope you will find it in your heart to donate, even a little will help. The money will be used to secure housing once a suitable place has been found.
You will have a good feeling when you do and you will help change the lives of Brian and Buttwheat.

Thank you and Bless you all,
Sharon Smith
