Hi Friends , On the 24th August 2016 I am booked in for Gastric Sleeve Surgery where they remove via Key Hole Surgery 80%-90% of the Stomach and the rest of the Stomach is turned into a sleeve and it limits the amount of food intake.
For the past 25 years I have suffered with Cellulites in my Legs which has caused me to spend a fair bit of time in Hospital .
I have Type 2 Diabetes which is controlled by Tablets.
Last year after a talking with a few close friends and a friend who has already had the operation I decided to go ahead and have the operation , This Operation will save my Life as I'm about to turn 48 and I know I won't make 50 unless I have this operation.

My Surgeon has indicated that the surgery will reverse my Diabetes and I will lose around 100kg or so in 12 months.

The Surgeon's Fee is not covered by Medicare as I have to have it done in a Private Hospital .
I have to raise $7000 for my surgery and after care as I will be out of action for around 4-5 weeks ( depends on my recovery )
