We’ve all been inspired so let’s help Abdulmumin
As many of you may have seen, this incredible young man, who is just 19 years old, has a true passion for building remote controlled planes. He has so many ideas, lots of plans drawn out and has already built several of his designs.
However, due to financial restraints he hasn’t been able to fully chase his dreams. This means that he has become even more creative, using things such as palm branches and other readily available resources. He’s also had a lot of negative responses from people when previously asking for help because of the fear of being the “stereotypical Nigerian scammer.” But he’s never let this keep him down and has found ways around these obstacles in order to keep doing what he loves.
This combination of determination, passion, creativeness, resourcefulness and a “never say die” attitude is exactly what the science community is all about! So after having spoken to Abdulmumin and seeing the overwhelming response he’s received, he’s agreed to allow me to try and help raise whatever we can so that he can get some much needed materials and further his scientific and engineering dream.
Because he’s from Nigeria, we can’t set up a Go Fund Me account he can access. However, he is happy for me to set one up and transfer the money to him. I am happy to provide evidence of the money I’ve received and the money that has been sent to him. I hope you understand that any fees applied will come out of the money all of you have so kindly donated.
Absolutely anything you’re able to donate would be massively appreciated and you have the knowledge that you’ve helped a young man to progress who may end up creating something that can one day change the world! All of the money will go directly to Abdulmumin and he will keep everyone updated on his latest creations.
Thank you for reading and hopefully we can all help this young man.
