Pls consider helping family during time of need

To whom ever is reading this, thank you for taking the time to do so. A few hours ago, in my hometown of Scranton, the house that my aunt, her young son and my grandma live in was involved in a house fire, which started in a neighboring home. And, though they were fortunate enough to make it out of this alive, it’s my understanding that they lost alot from the fire and smoke/water damage.

My aunt wasn’t even supposed to be there- only my sleeping grandmother. But by chance, last minute, my sister decided not to make her drive her home. They were only back for 5 minutes when it happened. And, so thankfully, they were there & able to wake my grandmother and help her get out, along with my little cousin and their 2 dogs.
After calling the police, my sister FaceTimed me in tears as they watched the house next door being completely engulfed in flames, moving onto our aunt’s home. I could hear my cousin, who’s only in first grade, crying that he lost his “whole life”/asking “are we going to die” as the firetrucks drove to the back of the house as the fire still raged. In the end, my cousin’s bedroom was completely destroyed by the fire, my aunt lost about 60% of her bedroom (except her glass dresser/head board) and my grandma’s room suffered water damage (her dresser was also ok). Only the kitchen completely untouched.

My
aunt is a single-mother who also takes care of her handicap and sick mother, and they’ve lost much of what they own, along with their place to live; destroyed or damaged by fire, smoke and/or water. And so as I write this, I wonder, how do you really put a price on many of someone’s, let alone their whole family’s, possession’s they’ve accumulated over their lifetime? Not everyone is so fortunate to have the means to easily recover from a situation like this. So please, if you can donate anything at all to help them out, it would be so, so greatly appreciated by me + my family.

*Funds will go toward immediate & temporary housing, clothing, necessary items for Ante seeing as all of his belonging were 100% destroyed, personal care products, any medical expenses for equipment my grandmother may have lost in the damage, a place to house their dogs as their living situation is now in limbo, helping them find a new home to rent, etc*

Unfortunately, I have been told that a gentleman  living in the home where the fire originated, which was completely destroyed, did not survive. Me and my family send our deepest sympathies to his family during this time. It’s my understanding that he was a very kind man to my family.. So again, our most sincere condolences to them and their loved ones during this difficult time. It’s my hope that the Scranton community will do its best to band together and help the affected families get through this tragic event. And, a huge thank you to the Scranton Fire Department for their quick response, and hard work to control and put out the fire before it spread even worse!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Warmly,
