Tricia's Fight For Life

Donation protected

Hello my name is Chad, and it pains me to share the news that my cousin Tricia is in the fight for her life due to her battle with Stage 4 lung cancer. She's always been more of a big sister to me and never smoked a cigarette a day in her life so you can imagine our shock when we heard of her diagnosis in December of 2015.

My cousin has been fighting to beat this thing with all her might. She was prescribed cancer treatment which was a combination of both the chemotherapy and radiation. She took them, worked out, and ate healthy, however her condition seemed to worsen more so due to the side effects of treatment than the actual progression of the cancer.

On the outside it completely damaged her skin, but on the inside the real damage was being caused to her liver. In desperation, my family sought treatment at a lifestyle cancer facility in Tennessee that would treat her cancer through herbal methods. Upon arriving at the facility my cousin developed complications with her heart and was transported to a hospital in Alabama.

The doctors have written her off as good as dead and are asking us to make her comfortable. As her family we do not accept that. We have spoken with her doctors in New York and they are willing to take her, but doctors in Alabama, do not want to release her. We want my cousin where she is loved, cared for and given a chance to keep fighting.

If they release her we are only allowed to take her by air, which sets us back $15,000. The family has been living out of the hospital and barely resting all in an effort to keep her alive. My aunt has been by her side throughout this process, she's been sacrificing work and sleep to provide encouragement and love every step of the way. In addition, my Uncle and Tricia’s sister, Nicole, have travelled back and forth to visit and support throughout this ordeal.

As you can imagine they’ve done this while incurring tremendous expenses from Tricia’s care as well as their own travel and lodging. We can't do it alone. We need your support.

Stage 4 lung cancer has a 50% survival rate so we’re NOT giving up soooo please keep fighting, praying, and sweet song in your hearts for my family. We are asking that you send prayers, hope, dollars, pennies, and/or what ever you feel comfortable giving to help my cousin through this trying time. NOTHING is too small, even if it’s a prayer or message for her, I will make sure they are read to her.

By giving, you are supporting a woman who spent her life caring for others. She’s a daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and so much more to us.

Please help her in her fight for life. Thank you for your continued love and support.

-Chad, Davene, Nicole, & Daisy
