In loving memory of Deputy Michael Treinen

Our LASD Lost Hills Family is deeply saddened by the sudden, untimely death of Deputy Michael Treinen on April 6, 2021. Deputy Treinen faithfully served on the department for over 30 years, spending the majority of that time assigned to the Malibu/Lost Hills Station. He finished his service at there as the homeless liaison for the City of Malibu & training officer for our reserve deputies before retiring in 2020. Deputy Treinen was beloved by his community and by those who worked alongside him. He leave behind a wife & 3 sons that are devastated by his loss.
