On August 20th, 2016, Ben and Holly took their 1 year old daughter, Ali, to the ER knowing something was not right. A CT scan revealed a parent's worst nightmare, Ali had a tumor on her kidney. Ali was rushed to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee where she underwent surgery to remove the tumor, along with her kidney. Ali continues to be strong and improve daily while her family awaits information on the steps ahead to keep her cancer free.
It is no secret that a cancer diagnosis is absolutely devastating to hear; however, to hear that your 1 year old daughter has cancer is unthinkable. Unfortunately, cancer not only takes an emotional toll, but can be a terrible financial burden also. Families should not have to think of costs associated with keeping their child safe and healthy during a time like this.
The funds received will be used by Ali's family however with the countless expenses that arise in circumstances of this kind.
All too often we take for granted all of our many blessings, including our healthy children.
