Hi, my name is Melissa, and I am the eldest daughter to our beloved mother, Zelia (She and the whole gang's pictured above).
Us four daughters are trying to raise money for mom's healthcare costs, as she was diagnosed with liver cancer this past April 2016. She has an excellent practitioner, and is very optimistic about her recovery. However, due to his holistic healthcare approach, he cannot be covered under insurance. For this reason, the treatments and supplements are billed out of pocket.
The practitioner, Dr. Picard, states that she could heal in as soon as three months, that the cancer should be gone, and that she will be feeling better before the year is through. He is trying his best to work with her and our stepfather in their fixed income. However, since there will be ongoing care needed beyond the three months, we are humbly asking for outside help, and hoping to reach a goal of $10,000. We are hoping the funds might be raised by the end of the year, December 31, 2016. It would be quite the Christmas present.
I'm sure anyone can understand how much our mother means to us. Plus, if you know our family well, you also know how much she has been through, with a devastating divorce in 2012, then uterine cancer a year and a half later. Thankfully, through surgery, that cancer was removed. The liver cancer news has been quite another blow. However, through it all, she has remained optimistic, faithful to God, her church and children. It's hard for her to ask for help, so we're trying to alleviate that burden. And at 60 years young, we would like to spend a lot more time with mom, as our Lord allows through the trusted treatments of Dr. Picard.
We would be so thankful for any and all donations. No amount is too small. For all your kind considerations of support and prayers for mom's healing, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love,
Melissa, Charissa, Alicia and Faythe
