“Noah will one day become a prophet.”
These are the words that God spoke to my mother about me before I was even born, and as I grew up, she told me that God had set me apart to speak His words to others. On my fifth birthday, my dad gave me one of the best gifts I’ve ever received— my first drum set. Then and there, I developed a deep love for music. As I got older and developed my musical gifts, I discovered a passion for ministry. I remember the joy I felt while playing my first church service when I was thirteen years old. In the seven years since then, my love for church ministry has grown into not just a passion but a lifestyle and a calling. Among the things that fuel my ministry the most - I’ve led worship for our youth ministry, initiated one-night worship events, and pursued a background in music production.
The prophetic calling God placed on my life before my life had even truly started is close to my heart, and I believe that I will fulfill that calling through the gift of music. We’ve all heard the stories of how hard it is to make it in the music industry. Although I knew God had called me to pursue music, I couldn’t help but wonder how it would all come about. In March of last year, a truly great opportunity came my way, when through a remarkable turn of events, I joined Lincoln Brewster for a part of his East Coast tour. It was through Lincoln and his band that I first learned about Thrive School. Through their encouragement, I researched the school and was inspired to make this a reality.
Thrive is a ministry development program administered by the leadership of Bayside Church in Northern California. In short, it’s a nine-month school that trains young leaders in worship ministry and leadership, music and technical production for churches, and features an intense discipleship program. Over the course of my time at Thrive, I will be participating in outreach programs, including the church’s Christmas season, which ministers to 40,000+ people. Not only will this experience equip me to be a successful worship leader, it will also deepen my personal walk with Christ and teach me how to touch other people. If you are interested in finding out more, please check out www.thriveschool.info for more details on this exciting program. I truly believe that Thrive School will serve as a launching pad to both prepare me for and push me deeper into my God-given calling.
As exciting as this opportunity is, I cannot do it alone. I need your help in three specific ways.
1. The first and most important way is to support me in prayer. My road to Thrive has been full of challenges, and it has been eye-opening to see how God has moved mountains already. Two of the main obstacles I am facing now are my health and traveling.
As many of you know, I have been struggling for several years with a kidney disease that limits my ability to function for days at a time. While moving to the other side of the country may make my health demands a little more challenging, I am confident that God will be everything I need. Additionally, I’m requesting prayer covering as I’ll be driving myself cross-country to get to the school this August. As much as I am looking forward to several days of drive time to spend with God, I would appreciate prayers for the traveling itself, that my journey to the West Coast would be free of any car issues, traffic, or other setbacks.
Aside from those two primary obstacles, this program is an incredible opportunity for me and I would appreciate all your prayers for the right doors to open and for my ears to be especially “in tune” to hear the Lord’s voice regarding my future and what life will look like after Thrive.
2. The second way you can help me is through financial support. While Thrive School is administered as a not-for-profit ministry, the program itself does have associated costs. In order to fully maximize the opportunity, I’m seeking ministry partners who will join with me via a direct financial contribution. The program includes not only my basic support for the duration of the nine months, but also college credits, a week-long missions trip to Mexico, and several two-day intensive conferences, among other elements. In addition to my savings over the past year, to successfully finance this incredible opportunity, I will need to raise $6,000 to cover my costs in the next 30 days. While the financial burden of this opportunity has, at times, felt unreachable, I have already seen God move in this area and I know now that He truly does finish the work He starts. Thank you in advance for partnering with me and contributing to the plans God has for my life.
3. Finally, I am asking you to share this page on social media. By spreading my story, hopefully the encouragement of what God is doing will spread throughout the global family of believers and inspire others to chase the dreams God has placed in their hearts.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the opportunity to pursue this chance of a lifetime. I could not even dare to dream of this without your help and I love you for giving in any way you can. My endless love and thanks to you all.
Love,
Noah Dionne
