My little brother, Mark Price, was in a motorcycle crash on June 23, 2016, on the way back from a day at the river with his friends in Boone, NC where he is a student at ASU. He was airlifted to Johnson Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. He has been in ICU since his accident. Mark has had surgery to stabilize his spine. His spinal cord was severed and his T-7 vertebrae was shattered and a few surrounding vertebraes were fractured. He also has broken ribs and a cervical spine fracture in his neck. He has been strong throughout this and continues to be determined to persevere. We recieved word today that the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA is holding a bed for Mark pending a visit from the representative tomorrow. The bed will be available starting July 7, 2016. Mark has been overjoyed by this news. We also were told that Mark will be moving to a step down unit tonight or tomorrow. As of right now, doctors say Mark will be paralyzed from the bottom of his chest down but we believe in miracles and the power of prayer. I have started this go fund me page to help with the expenses that will incure as a result of his injuries and the rehabilitation costs. This is a life long adjustment for Mark and he will need all the help he can get. Mark has been extremely grateful for all the prayers and love he has recieved so far. Mark will be in rehabilitation away from home for an average of six weeks. We appreciate any support that anyone could contribute, whether that is prayers, thoughts, or monetary.
