Helping Vern Morris out

Hey all, pretty sure the vast majority of us have all worked with Vern and know what a great guy he is. For those of you who don't know him, he is an amazing friend. He was my supervisor for an ambulance company we worked for and Vern was the type of guy who would drive to wherever you were posting and talk to you if you needed someone to talk to. He stood up behind all his employees and vouched for you and took care of you. If he knew you were having a bad day/night, he was the guy who would show up in an ape mask (Fred), climb a cement retainer wall, to sneak up and scare the holy living bejesus out of you to try to cheer you up.
He needs some help right now. Vern has had a few years of what I will call, really bad luck. I've watched him struggle for the last 10-12 years and he sure could use a break. Both of his vehicles are broke down, he rides a bicycle to work, not far for him, however his dear wife Becky has to ride UTA from the south end of Tooele all the way to Salt Lake City.
This is a 2hr trip, one way!
Vern is also in need of a PTSD therapy dog. I'm hoping we can raise enough money for not only fixing at least one of his vans, but having enough to help get him a therapy dog.
Please help me show support to a man who would give you the shirt off his back and climb a 10ft retaining wall wearing an ape mask to cheer you up.
