Kendra Granle is a beautiful, confident, strong young woman. She is independant, responsible and pursues her passions with zest and intention. Kendra is an active young woman and did not anticipate the diagnosis she was recently given, breast cancer.
On May 10, 2016 Kendra quickly proceeded with surgery to remove a large tumor that was later evaluated to help determine a treatment plan. She has obtained a second and third opinion. All providers agree on the plan to address this aggressive cancer which will include chemo therapy, radiation and tamoxifen for the next 10 years.
Kendra has selected to work with an oncologist at the U of M Fairview Cancer Center to provide her care. Components of the treatment plan that she will be completing are known to interfere with the ability to have children. She is in the process of completing procedures at this time with a reproduction clinic to give her the opportunity to have a healthy baby in the future.
Kendra has already incurred over $15,000 in medical expenses. We are saking for your support to help her with these costs. Because she is a very self-sufficient young woman it is difficult for her to ask for your help, so we are asking on her behalf. Please know how grateful she is for your financial help and personal support through prayer and encouragement. Donations will be used to pay for medical expenses related to the treatment of this cancer and the battle to keep it from returning. Any extra funds will go the University of MN Masonic Cancer Center for cancer research.
Because of our son Nick's love for her, our family is blessed to have Kendra in our lives. We adore her and see her as a family member now. Kendra's family and all who know and love her would do anything to take this from her, but we cannot.
