Hi everyone! As many of you know, I am always doing rescue and helping animals in need. This is a rescue I’ve been working on for months now and this is one of the WORST cases I have dealt with. Selah is a 9 year old bulldog mix. Someone reached out to me to help Selah. Selah is suffering from a VERY bad skin condition that we can’t get under control. She is losing all her hair, her paws are so red and swollen that it’s painful to walk, her itching is out of control & she’s causing more harm by itching 24/7. I have taken Selah to doctors who at first ran a full panel of lab work, skin scraping and fecal checks. It all came back normal for a dog her age. He then prescribed her antibiotics, steroids and hypoallergenic food. This helped a tiny bit by taking the swelling down but as soon as the medicine stopped she was worst. I took her back to the doctor and he switched her medications. He gave her a steroid injection, allergy injection, strong antibiotics, allergy pills, and flea prevention. He also gave me a medicated shampoo to bath her twice weekly and said to continue on hypoallergenic food. After a week of being on this new medication, Selah is worst. The doctor is shocked by the lack of response to these medications and is afraid Selah is has a autoimmune disease. In order for us to test for this, we will have to do a procedure which includes a biopsy and skin culture to the lab to confirm what we are dealing with and what antibiotics will help. Selahs eyes are now BLEEDING because her skin is so inflamed and itchy. Her hair has fallen off, her skin is bleeding and she is very painful. Selah needs our help. I’m asking everyone, even if it’s $1 or a simple share to HELP ME COLLECT THE FUNDS to help get Selah in for this testing ASAP. It is very expensive but without us doing these test and sending it to the lab we will have no answers. We also need to continue her on hypoallergenic food which is very costly and we cannot afford to provide this food. I need some funds in order to book the procedure to get this all done ASAP. We have done everything we can and she is not responding which is leading us to think this is NOT a food allergy or environmental allergy. I am desperately seeking for help so I can continue helping her. All additional funds raised will be put towards her pricey food and medication going forward.
