My Mom's Medical Fund

My name is Hillary, my mother's name is Norma; I am making this for her. Over the last two years my Mom has had more than enough bad news. She raised  my four siblings and I alone. She is hard working and stronger than anyone I know.

In 2011 my Mother found out she has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. At the time there would not be any treatment but her Doctor informed her that she might need treatment in five to ten years. I was competely devasted but determined to be strong for my Mom as she had shown nothing but strength while raising me.  In 2014 her Doctor told her she had Endometrial Uterine Cancer. Over the next eight months I stood by my mother while she had a hysterectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. Her cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. I watched my Mother lose her hair and cry. I supported  her as best as I could taking her to chemo appointments, bringing her favorite food when she felt good enough to eat and playing Buzzfeed quizzes with her as she took her medicine at the hospital.  When she was done with chemo, we were all overjoyed as the Doctor told us she was free of endemtrial uterine cancer and she would not need any more chemo. At this time my Mom was paying for her medical bills and feeling the pressure of debt this sickness had caused. She worked full time through her treatments worried she might lose her job  of fourteen years at a company that supports people with disabilities because she was "too sick."

In December 2015 we were told that her kidney was blocked off from her lymphnodes being enlarged; this was caused by the CLL (Chronic Lympocytic Leukemia.) She had to have a surgery right away to have a stint placed so her kidney could drain properly.  She goes under every two months to have the stint replaced since and this is very expensive to do but if she doesn't have this procedure her kidney will fail. Her Doctor told her she was experiencing symptoms from her CLL and that she would need to begin chemo soon. She would need to take a pill form of chemo and my Mom was happy she would not have to lose the hair she had recently grown back. She began treatment once again and has been working her full time job, taking care of her Step Dad (As she promised her Mom she would do before my Grandma passed), taking care of her kids and dealing with the pressure of feeling sick. She started the chemo and has been very ill over the last two months, she is constantly worried about paying her bills while the bills continue to pile from her current and past treatments.

My Mom is loved by so many and despite it all she tries to continue to be there for everyone she knows. I work at the same company as my Mom and every single person I know has told me a story about how she impacted their life in a positive way. I worry about my Mom more than she would like me to and wish could do more for her.

My mother needs this go fund me so she can stop worrying about more than her health, so she can go to the Doctor without regret and do whatever she needs to do to feel good. I have not seen my Mom feel good for a very long time. I am making this because it is the least I can do for her in hopes of some relief for her future and for the debt she has built up in the past two years.  Any money raised here is appreciated and a blessing to her. I would be so thankful to anyone who finds the time to read this and wants to help my Mom in any way. This means so much to me because having my Mom here matters not only to me but to the many people who adore her.  Thank you.
