This is my third week after surgery. I am still recovering, I need 3 or 4 more weeks of rest before starting my physical therapy and/or hydrotherapy.

I need to use a pillow behind me to sit and I can't sit for more than 10 minutes.

After surgery and a long week I am finally home, I am resting and trying to recover from my wound, they left me with a huge wound, but it is good news that I am healing! Unfortunately they have found that I have a blood disorder, but it is under control, that is why the nurses visit me every day! 7 weeks of rest and then I would start my recovery therapies.

Hello, my name is Fabio, I had a lot of doubts about raising funds, mainly because I am afraid of what people will think and say about me, however, this situation is very important to me as a person, I am currently under WorkCover because 2 years ago I had a work accident, which prevented me from working, I have been limited in carrying out daily activities or performing jobs since this injury and due to the pain I cannot sit or stand for long periods of time, and I cannot do physical strength! Due to legal workcover issues I cannot work and the only income is a percentage of the salary I earned in this company, which has helped me to support myself, pay the lease, and other expenses! However, WorkCover has helped me a lot since then, on July 11th I will have a microdiscectomy surgery on my lower back where they will try to fix 3 dislocated discs, my doctors say I need around 6 to 12 weeks to recover and after that I need to heal with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy, WorkCover will cover everything related to my surgery and my recovery, but only if I will be legally in this country, a few days ago, the Home Office refused my visa, that is why if I want to recover and have WorkCover cover my recovery, I need to appeal, as many of you know this is a bit expensive and they do not give us that many days to raise this amount of money, Due to my financial limitations, I find myself in need of coming to you as I need the money urgently, as there is little time to get or save this money, approximately 3,499 AUD + 3,000 fees from lawyer, 1 year ago I was just planning to recover here and go back to my home country Colombia after 5 years, and get on with my life, But I need to recover first because I can't do many activities to survive in the future with this injury. I didn't intend to stay here permanently, people who know me know what my true wishes are, but because of the surgery I need to stay, have surgery and recover here, I can't travel because the flight is too long and I can't stand it. That's why I'm trying to raise the funds to appeal and stay here, at least for the first 6 weeks! All money is used to pay this appeal!

Esta es mi tercera semana después de la cirugía. Todavía me estoy recuperando, necesito 3 o 4 semanas más de descanso antes de comenzar con mi fisioterapia y/o hidroterapia. Tengo que usar una almohada de respaldo en mi espalda para seguir recuperándome!

Después de la cirugía y una semana larga por fin estoy en casa, estoy descansando y tratando de recuperarme de mi herida, me dejaron una herida enorme, pero es una buena noticia que me estoy curando! Lamentablemente han encontrado que tengo un trastorno sanguíneo, pero está bajo control, por eso las enfermeras me visitan todos los días! 7 semanas de descanso y luego comenzaría mis terapias de recuperación.

Hola, mi nombre es Fabio, tenía muchas dudas sobre recaudar fondos, principalmente por que tengo miedo de lo que la gente piense y diga de mí, sin embargo, esta situación es muy importante para mí como persona, actualmente estoy bajo WorkCover debido a que hace 2 años tuve un accidente laboral, el cual me impidió trabajar, he estado limitado en realizar actividades diarias o realizar trabajos desde esta lesión y debido al dolor no puedo sentarme ni permanecer de pie por largos periodos de tiempo, ¡y no puedo tener fuerza física! Por temas legales de workcover no puedo trabajar y el único ingreso es un porcentaje del salario que gané en esta empresa, el cual me ha ayudado a mantenerme, pagar el alquiler, y otros gastos! Sin embargo, WorkCover me ha ayudado mucho desde entonces, el 11 de julio me harán una cirugía de microdiscectomía en la espalda baja donde intentarán arreglar 3 discos dislocados, mis médicos dicen que necesito alrededor de 6 a 12 semanas para recuperarme y después de eso necesito sanar con fisioterapia e hidroterapia, WorkCover cubrirá todo lo relacionado con mi cirugía y mi recuperación, pero solo si estaré legalmente en este país, hace unos días, el Ministerio del Interior rechazó mi visa, por eso si quiero recuperarme y que WorkCover cubra mi recuperación, necesito apelar, como muchos de ustedes saben esto es un poco caro y no nos dan tantos días para recaudar esta cantidad de dinero, debido a mis limitaciones financieras, me veo en la necesidad de acudir a ustedes ya que necesito el dinero urgentemente, ya que hay poco tiempo para obtener o ahorrar este dinero, aproximadamente 3.499 AUD + 3.000 honorarios de abogado, hace 1 año solo estaba planeando recuperarme aquí y regresar a mi país de origen Colombia después de 5 años, y seguir adelante. con mi vida, pero necesito recuperarme primero porque no puedo hacer muchas actividades para sobrevivir en el futuro con esta lesión. No tenía la intención de quedarme aquí permanentemente, la gente que me conoce sabe cuáles son mis verdaderos deseos, pero debido a la cirugía necesito quedarme, operarme y recuperarme aquí, no puedo viajar porque el vuelo es demasiado largo y no lo soporto. ¡Es por eso que estoy tratando de recaudar los fondos para apelar y quedarme aquí, al menos durante las primeras 6 semanas!
