Support For Greg Gathers

Dear Friends and Family,

I am starting this fund to bring awareness and offer support to my great friend and former Georgia Tech football teammate, Greg Gathers.  As many of you know, 11 years ago Greg suffered a kidney failure and required a transplant.  Fortunately, his mother was a match and was able to become his kidney donor.  I regret to inform you all that recently Greg's health has taken a turn for the worse, and he is once again in need of another kidney transplant.  Greg and his wife are seeking a blood type match of O+/O-, to be a potential kidney donor.  All donor medical expenses have already been accounted for.  We are asking for loved ones to get a blood test to see if you may be a potential donor match.

I am also asking those that can to please make a financial donation to the Gathers family.  Currently, Greg is a teacher of Keyboarding and Intro to Business Computer Applications at Central Middle school; he also coaches linebackers at East Ascension High School of Gonzales, La .  Greg  is the breadwinner of his household, which includes his wonderful wife and four active children.  If you  know Greg, you would know he is a prideful man and would never ask for financial help.  With that being said, it is times like these where we, as a loving community, need to offer whatever help we can...without someone like Greg ever having to ask.
