Send Zane to College!!!
Donation protected
Zane Saddy desperately wants to go to college this Fall to study acting. His journey is an amazing example of a kid with a difficult backstory completely turning his life around, finding a passion in life, and wanting to pursue it.
He came to live with me a few months ago when life at home became too difficult. He was failing in high school and headed down a negative path. Since then, he has managed to graduate from high school, clean up his act, enroll in Santa Monica College as a theater major, hold down a job and save a good chunk of money!
He needs more money to get started, but one parent can't help financially and the other one... wont. Because some parents don't understand or approve of the need, the drive, the necessity to become an actor.
Friends( theater and film friends especially), you may have walked the path of financial rejection due to your chosen calling. I now ask you, in the name of supporting the arts and an artist, to donate to Zane's college fund.
We just need enough to get him registered for college (one year of tuition is only $1,200!) and moved into an apartment, and maybe a month of two of rent. He plans to work while going to school, so once he is down there, he will be mostly self-supporting.
If I didn't, as a professional actress, director and acting coach, believe in Zane's potential to make a significant contribution to the theater/film community, I wouldn't be asking. But I do believe in him as an actor and as a person. It would mean so much to me and to Zane if you would consider donating to this fund.
Thank you so much, and I'll -- we'll -- see you at the theater!!
