On March 30, 2021 we lost a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend. Gabriel “Garfield” Aguilar went into the hospital at the beginning of February for complications with his liver. The day he was approved for a liver transplant, he tested positive for COVID-19. Someone gave him the virus while he waited to get a liver in the hospital. Because of his positive test, the hospital he was admitted to would not operate and he was instead transferred to San Diego. Unfortunately, Gabriel died of multi-organ failure a few days later because he was COVID-19 positive and unable to receive the life saving organ transplant he needed. Because his illness and death were unexpected the family is asking for help with donations for his final expenses. Anything that anyone can donate would be greatly appreciated.
