My name is Paula and my daughter Tracie has struggled for 10 years with a unique form of head & neck cancer. She's had 4 surgeries, lost half of her tongue and some throat tissue, survived chemo and radiation, and continues to deal with serious health problems as a result of the treatments.  Tracie currently has an infection in her lower jaw bone and because of the radiation treatment there's diminished blood flow in that area. She needs a series of hyperbaric chamber treatments to hopefully increase the blood flow in that area before any surgeon will consider working on her. Every doctor and oral surgeon she's seen has refused to help due to the high risk of necrosis to the tissue and bone in her jaw and that is why the HBC treatments are necessary to hopefully reduce the chance of Tracie losing part of her jaw. Medicare has refused to pay for any of the services that are required and Tracie has not been able to work so she has no other medical coverage or funds to use. Cancer is a terrifying thing to deal with and the long term problems seem never ending. We've contacted hospitals, medical providers, charitable organizations, the insurance commisioner's office and have not had any luck getting financial help or forcing Medicare to cover what needs to be done. Tracie needs your help as soon as possible before the infection gets worse and spreads. If anyone is able to help by donating we would be incredibly grateful.
