Recently I was asked a question that really hit home for me, “Jordan, what is it that you are truly passionate about?”… Without hesitation I answered – “PEOPLE.”
This question got me thinking. A lot. I love working with people. I love helping people. I love teaching people. And for those of you that know me well know that I am completely obsessed with and adore small people – also known as children.
Fast-forward three weeks from that very moment - I have renewed my passport, had many vaccinations, packed up my Melbourne life, and have booked a one-way flight to Cambodia. In one week I will be living in Cambodia, and volunteering my time and professional skills to support the wonderful team and children at Let Us Create, a non-profit organisation that provides creative education and family assistance to the local community in Sihanoukville.
I have committed to stay in Cambodia for three months, and in order for me to implement and complete many projects I need YOUR help. My mission over the next four weeks is to raise at least $6,500 through this GoFundMe campaign. With your support we can provide quality creative education, implement staff development strategies to ensure a sustainable future, and provide health & family support to over 200 children & 90 families daily. All donations will go towards educational equipment, learning facilities, art supplies, daily nutrition for the children and families, and to complete many projects in the future.
