Gabriel is a Godly man, husband, and father to two young children (ages 4 and 7). He is one of the best EMT’s anyone could ask for and faithful to his wife of 8 years. At age 31, while walking through the store with his wife on June 11th he suddenly had a grand-mal seizure.  He was taken to Medical Center Plano where they discovered a mass on the left side of his brain.  The neurosurgeon was able to remove most of the mass, but unfortunately pathology determined it was a malignant tumor. They diagnosed it as a Glioblastoma Multiform (GBM) stage 4 Cancer. Prior to the seizure he had no other symptoms and in fact had just run 6.2 miles the night before.  There was no indication he had a brain tumor. GBM is a very aggressive cancer that currently does not have a cure. The average life expectancy with treatment is 12 – 18 months.  Due to the seizure he is not allowed to drive for 6 months, and we will have to play it by ear for getting him back to work. We have hope as 10% of GBM patients do make it past 2 years, and we plan on him making it MUCH LONGER. Gabe is a fighter and has always been exceptional. We are asking for prayers for a divine healing, but we also need financial assistance in the every day since he will not be working.
