My name is Ian Moye, I am 25 years old, with 4 kids, from ages 8 months to 9 years, and also a beautiful fiance. Factory working man, making ends meet.
About a year ago, I started having severe neck and back pain. Went to the doctor to figure out what the problem was, and had MRIs done on my back and neck. The MRI on my neck we saw my brain, Arnold Chairi Malformation, turns out it was a birth defect that I was born with. Most cases it is managable with medication, only severe cases require surgery. The last appointment, my second opionion Doc. Henry said he had never seen a case like mine. As did my primary Doc. and Doc. Boswell a neurosergeon here in town. Always have suffered from migraines. I have always been the provider for my four kids and fiance. Now with this decompresion surgery, they have the drill into the base of my skull and spine, and cut the portion of my ceribellum out thats hanging down. Needless to say I will be out of work for awhile. 2 days in the hospital to recover, 6 weeks immobile, and for 12 weeks cant lift over 10lbs. The hardest part of the whole ordeal is being down for 3 months. I do work now and plan on pushing through and working up until my surgery date but with 4 children it is hard to put money back.
After I have this surgery on my head we are going to address, the fluid I have built up in my spine and the damged disc in upper and lower back. They are what is causing the majority of my pain now, but the doctors say they are minor in comparrison to whats going on in my head right now. So even after surgery there is still a long road ahead.
I appriciate everyone taking the time to read this, and if anyone has the means to help no matter what it is. It would be greatly appriciated, it is hard for me to do this because of the pride I take in being the provider. But I have ran out of options. Thank you.
