Long time local and friend, the always “calm, cool & collected” Keri Srholez needs our help! This beautiful soul has recently been diagnosed with a rare, aggressive cancer called “Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma”, Stage 4. Keri is a very private person, independent, strong, creative and probably one of the most caring people I have ever met! I am fortunate to call her my friend of 20 + years!
Some of you may know Keri from ‘Bartending’ at the Red Lion in Vail (many moons ago), Sweetwater, 4H and/or Eagle. She has two amazingly talented and beautiful girls Ella and Fara. Ella is currently a Freshman in College at CU-Denver and Fara, a Freshman at EVHS.
Keri has faced some health challenges over the past few years (unrelated to cancer) and recovered. She is strong!
Independently living and in the wake of COVID, she decided to go back to school to be a medical assistant. She is Always thinking of others!
Keri has medical coverage, but as we ALL know, that doesn’t cover everything. Knowing all too well, the burdens of the cancer fight, if we can help Keri and the girls financially we can help lessen some worry and maybe give a little piece of mind.
Keri has a strong will and positive attitude. She also has a long road ahead with treatment and recovery. Currently, she is receiving treatments at Shaw Cancer Center. She has a medi port and peg tube, goes to Shaw every Monday for chemo and Monday -Friday for radiation treatments. She is only a few weeks into this process.
Keri’s attitude is amazing! “It may be stormy now, but the rain won’t last forever”!
