I am Catalina Zamora, eldest daughter of Jose Luis Zamora, and eldest sister to Ruben Zamora.
On Saturday, March 28, 2021, my pap, Jose Luis called me with the tragic news that my 37-year-old brother had died during the night. He is survived by his 11-year-old daughter Ariel. My brother was her only parent, and this little girl is now left without a father. Ariel was the love and pride of his life, they were inseparable. It was always my brother and his only daughter.

Then there is my 78-year-old father, and stepmom Chepa. It is heartwrenching as they are going through so many emotions, while having to plan a funeral for their own child. My father repeats, "This is not how it's supposed to be, children bury their parents, not the other way around."
My brother went through a lot, but he loved his baby girl. When I would look at his face in the picture above, I can still see that shy, sweet lovable little kid brother. Cutest kid ever!

As the eldest daughter to my brother, setting up this gofundme page and am humbling myself to family and friends, won't you consider donating a little something, if everyone gave $5, $10 or more, we could give my brother a decent funeral. The idea is to keep it modest and put the rest in a trust fund for Arial. She will never be the same, none of us will.
My cousins, siblings, tia's, tio's all the Zamora family, would like to thank everyone for their help and please keep us in your prayers, as we try to manuever through this difficult time.
I would like to share a text I received the day before he passed away...

To your Ruben, I tried to call you but it went to voicemail...I love you too soo much, you can finally rest my brother...
