HELP US SAVE BABY!
Baby is a 5 year old Shih Tzu who came to us from the Bastrop Shelter as an owner surrender. When our Refuge (S.A.F.E. Refuge of Central Texas) pulled her from the shelter we initially felt that we would just be keeping her comfortable over the weekend til we would have to put her down. As bad as she is; Baby has the drive to live and our goal for her turned from hospice to recovery. Baby has a long recovery road ahead and our goal is to get her back to the first picture which was taken two years ago.
Baby has many medical issues that we have to address:
- Bilateral Buthalmos: suspected chronic glaucoma , interorbiatl neoplasia
- Severe exposure keratopathy
- Generalized demodex
- Generalized superficial pyoderma
-Yeast infection
- Peridontal disease grade 4
- Grade 6/6 left systolic heart murmur
- Generalized Lymphadenopathy
- Non-regenerative anemia
- Hyperglobulinemia
- Blind
- Deaf
Hematuria/Proteinuria: UTI/CKD/ Hypertension
We are not giving up on this dog but we need your help. There is a very good chance that we could get her back to the beautiful and happy little "Baby" that she once was.
