On Thursday June 23rd my grandparents Jim and Barbara Walsh lost everything they own in a matter of minutes to the fire burning in Lake Isabella. The entire city was wiped out and over 80 homes were burned. By the grace of God and the kindness of their neighbor at the age of 78 they made it out alive, driving through flames with out even a moment to spare. Everything they owned has vanished and turned to dust. Every momento from their 60 year marriage, 3 kids , 6 grandkids, and 1 great grand daughter is gone. Being that they are 78 they have a lot of necessities for their daily living. All of their medical assisting devices and health products are gone. They are now just left with the clothes on their backs, and now only living off of social security one can only imagine how hard it will be to start their whole lives over after nearly 80 years have been spent working towards everything that was lost. My grandparents are always giving and doing for others and even now in their desperate time of need they are worried about others, so hopefully this is a way that we will be able to give them the help they deserve. God bless and thank you for taking the time to read this.
