Our mission goes beyond aesthetics; it's about transforming how individuals feel and shaping their outlook on life. We are reaching out to you because we need your support to continue making a positive impact on the lives of our youth. Our Motto: Changing Lives One Head at a Time Our commitment is reflected in our motto, and it's not just words – it's a guiding principle. We prioritize enriching the lives of young people through our 5 pillars: Entrepreneurship and Business Coaching, Mental Wellness, Mentorship, Community Engagement, and Apprenticeship.
How We Make a Difference:
1. Entrepreneurship and Business Coaching: - We teach the mindset, skill-building, planning, and execution steps that lead young people toward business ownership, fostering a sense of independence and accomplishment.
2. Mental Wellness: - We provide free workshops and groups to promote positive self-being and awareness, addressing issues like trauma and self-esteem. Additionally, we offer referrals to local therapists for more in-depth self-exploration. 3. Apprenticeship: - We train young adults in barber education, guiding them to obtain licensure and work as independent contractors in the field, creating opportunities for sustainable careers.
4. Community Engagement: - We immerse our youth in the culture of Pittsburgh, instilling pride in their neighborhoods, and connect them with elders who provide wisdom about the pathways that lead to the city's future.
5. Mentorship: - We offer the chance to hear from and connect with successful individuals from their own communities, inspiring hope and resilience for a brighter future.
