This past Saturday morning, Drake's bike malfunctioned causing his front end to fall apart and he took a very serious spill. After being rushed to the hospital he spent two days there being treated for a cracked sternum, two torn ligaments in his shoulder, a pierced lung, three broken ribs, and minor road rash. On top of Drake and his very loving, and supportive parent's medical bills, Drake will be out of work for several months nursing his wounds until he is able to tattoo again. There's little a young and talented artist can do when his arm is in a sling and is struggling to catch his breath. Drake is a dear friend of mine and of many others and is lucky enough to able to have a career that allows him to be surrounded by other amazingly talented, caring, and hardworking individuals. If you ever have had the pleasure of knowing him, you know that he would do whatever he could to get any of his friends back on their feet and keep their heads above water during trying times.
