We are very humbled beyond words by the outpouring of love and support for our beloved Elaine M. Silva. Although she was a member of the Silva family, she also was a pillar of the City of New Bedford, The Cape Verdean Community, The New Bedford Police Dept. and a dear mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to countless individuals throughout the 60 years of her life with us.
Unfortunately, Elaine had a brief history of health issues which resulted in a difficult financial position. Many have expressed their desire to assist in our time of need. It is with humility, love and respect that we kindly ask in lieu of flowers that those who wish to assist offer a token of their love via a donation to help defray the costs associated with her untimely death.
