Help Bagel the Beagle get his toe surgery

Hi everyone, our family decided to rehome Bagel the Beagle to give him a forever home that he deserves about 2 weeks ago.
Sadly, this time was his fourth rehoming... he is only 4 years old! He went through tough life already.
Bagel is sweet, lovely boy who is settling in to our family very well however he had toenail removal by accident few months ago with his previous owner so he was limping when we go tag him home.
We thought it was a simple accident and his toenail would grow back soon however, we got quite worry about Bagel’s limping so we took him to a vet to be sure.
We found out that Bagel will need a surgery to remove all the broken toenail bits which are still in his toes, it is causing lots of pain and discomfort to him. He would need to have X-ray to find out more details and in the worst case, he may possibly need an digit amputation.
We were devastated to find out about the state Bagel is in and we would like to relief Bagel from the pain he is facing as soon as possible.
As you can imagine, the vet cost is quite high and the pet insurance I put Bagel in straightaway after the adoption cannot help as it happened way before I welcomed him to our family.
