Tia-Clair Toomey Olympics Bound
“I’m looking forward to standing on the platform wearing the Australian uniform. It’s the pinnacle of any sporting competition. I’m still trying to find the words." Tia-Clair Toomey
At just 23 years of age, Queenslander Tia-Clair Toomey has achieved so much. In 2015 she was crowned second fittest woman alive at the Crossfit Games in the USA. She returned home to Gladstone, QLD and set her sights on the Rio Olympics. Many people told her she couldn't and wouldn't do it after only lifting for 18months. But in true Tia style, she was determined and classy and went about achieving her goal. Raised in Queensland on a sugar cane farm she knows a thing or two about work ethic.
Anyone who has met Tia-Clair knows that although she is a fierce competitor, she is also a warm and humble lady who will be cheering on even her competitors at every competition. She takes time for her supporters and is passionate about people.
The cost of attending the Olympics is huge for this young lady and we would like to help her on her journey. If you would also like to help her, please feel free to donate here. Thank you so much to everyone who supports Tia-Clair.
