My name is Abdul Kaiyum and I am a GCSE/A-Level chemistry teacher. Alhamdhulillah, I have been blessed with 4 beautiful girls and know how important education is for their future. I am collecting Sadaqah Jariyah & Zakat for orphaned & underprivileged girls in Bangladesh.
My uncle is the Founder and Principal of Dayamir Girls Madrassa, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He set up the Educational Institution nearly 20 years ago with his own money, with a view to educate and support these vulnerable parts of society in an already poor and developing country. The establishment relies 100% on charity donations to keep the madrassa running. Currently, there are approximately 250 girls on roll, studying to become Alimah and Qari of the future, in shaa Allah. Each student requires £500 donation for the year and your money provides food, lodgings and books for the girls you sponsor.
Remember the girls of today are the mothers of the Ummah of tomorrow. I myself sponsor 3 girls, whose father was an Alim, but after his death, the family had no source of income. Maa sha Allah, the girls are doing really well. After qualification, usually they themselves go out into the community and teach to earn an income.
