Hi everyone! My name is Savannah Glass. I am creating this fundraiser for gastric sleeve surgery.
I am 20 years old, and I weigh about 330 lbs. I have been diagnosed with PCOS due to being severely overweight. All I have ever wanted in life is to be a mother, and I cannot do that until I lose a significant amount of weight.
I am newly married (December 12, 2020) and I just want to take my life back before it’s too late. I do not want to die young. That is a real fear of mine, especially if something doesn’t change...
I am setting my goal for $6,000. I am looking into going to Mexico to have my gastric sleeve surgery because my insurance does not cover bariatric surgery under any circumstances. As a newlywed, with no job, I simply can’t afford to have surgery on my own. I am looking into going to Tijuana, and I have seen prices range from $3,800 - $6,000. Hopefully what I raise will also cover the plane tickets for myself and my sister (who I believe will be going with me if this does happen). Anything extra that I raise will go towards anything post-op that I need like special drinks, etc. and/or me using that money to pay it forward and donate to someone else needing surgery.
