Disabled Veteran Elk Hunt in Idaho
Donation protected

Freedom Outdoor Adventures has the honor to host Sgt. Isaac Gallegos on this hunt of a lifetime chasing Elk in Idaho. Sgt Gallegos has beaten all odds against him throughout his treatment and recovery. After on a routine mission in Iraq in 2006, his unit was ambushed where his vehicle and many others where hit by Improvised Exploded Devices (IED's). With this explosion, Sgt. Gallegos was thrown from his vehicle where he was engulfed in flames in result was burned over 80% of his body. As the intense firefight continued, his team was able to pull Sgt. Gallegos to cover as they put his burning body out. He was soon flown to Germany and then to the United States Army Burn Center in San Antonio, Texas where he had multiple surgeries and treatments for over 6 years. Having the drive and motivation to not give up on life, Isaac fought back against his disabilities to return to active status with the United States Marine Corp. Sgt. Gallegos has been a inspiration to millions across the country, and FOA is honored to be able to say thank you to Sgt. Gallegos for his service and sacrifice to our great nation. We are asking for assistance to raise funds to help cover additional needs while on this hunt. Funding raised will cover fuel to and from the hunt for the veteran (Driving or Flying), food, lodging, license fees, processing of harvested game and taxidermy of the veterans Elk. Being able to say THANK YOU to Americas heroes for all their sacrifice is very humbling, not to mention the therapy this allows for getting our countries disabled veterans back to the outdoors getting the treatment they deserve. GOD's natural healing through the great outdoors. This will be a Archery hunt where FOA has already had a brand new crossbow donated that the veteran will take home with them along with many other products from our great sponsors. Please help Freedom Outdoor Adventures say Thank You to Sgt. Isaac Gallegos for his dedicated sacrifice and service to our great nation, not to mention our FREEDOM! Any additional funding collected will be used to purchase any additional items Sgt. Gallegos may need during this adventures.
