At the very beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, I lost my very well paid job and shortly after that, my housing.
Because I went from FT to PT to FT at the same job, it was considered a break in employment and I didn’t (and still don’t) qualify for any gov’t assistance, aside from the stimulus which went as quickly as it came.
I am wrapping up a job in Iowa and then moving to Tennessee for a long-term job, which is more of an investment to begin with, I.e. unpaid project of love.
I recently bought a bus that I was going to convert into my living situation, but it went kaput in South Dakota a few days ago. She was fun for the few days I had her
Needing a place to sleep and keep my things, I am trying to raise money to purchase a sturdy and adequate canvas tent and outfit it with what I would need to live, for a few months+, such as a stove, storage, portable toilet, solar shower, etc.
This tent would keep me warm at night, cool during the day, and dry during the rain. It would allow me to use any money I am earning to be used for food and bills.
The neat thing, is that the tent will be set up on the Johnny Cash farm, as I donate my time to working on a few Johnny Cash projects.
Look, I recognize that I’m not the only person that has been negatively impacted by Covid, and I feel awkward asking for money socially like this. I would love to be in a position soon to help others too. If you have a few bucks, anything, to donate, I would be ever grateful for you.
