Javonni's Road to Recovery

Many of you know Javonni, but as his close family we get to see more than what lies on the surface. Javonni truly has a kind heart, whether he shows it by responding with his sarcastic comments or helping his little brother play video games. He is a hardworking kid that is dedicated to the game of hockey. He is funny, witty, and intelligent.

This past Thursday, while skateboarding with friends, Javonni was accidently struck by a car going a minimum of 40mph. As you may predict, he is now suffering from many injuries that are more serious than just cuts and bruises.  Javonni is dealing with some stomach pain in which the doctors are still investigating the cause of this issue. He also has a fractured ankle and obtained three injuries to his pelvic region: cracked in two places and a severely broken socket (where the femur meets the hip). He currently has a weighted pin through his knee, which allows his leg to remain pulled away from his socket to prevent further injuries to that area. Javonni is scheduled for surgery Monday (tomorrow) to reconstruct his socket. As you can imagine, with the extent of his injuries, he is dealing with a large amount of pain. However, he still manages to keep his spirits by cracking his witty jokes trying to make the nurses laugh. 

We cannot express how thankful we are for all the kind words and support. The donations will go to help pay for the extensive medical expenses and probably a couple of video games to entertain javonni while he goes through his long recovery.  :) Thank you all so much!
