Compassion for Chela

Update: First I want to let you know that my first Chapter of my family´s story is coming to an end. The second Chapter is still to unfold and full of uncertainties and I feel it´s the will of God who is writing on our book, my mom´s and me and my family`s.

I have taken the hardest decision of my life yet, I am coming back home to my family in Canada, leaving my mom behind. I am filled with extreme joy and extreme sadness, how is it possible it has come to this, I keep asking myself.

I always have to let you know how grateful I am as well as my mom. Grateful for all the people who has helped us so far, in every way, through financial donations, donations of goods, and donations of time, acts of kindness, appreciation, your friendships, the prayers you have raised for us, your love and unconditional support, the donations of medical supplies and none the least, a rides to different places as we do not have a car and public transportation is not an option for my mom. A phone call showing support and a friend pulling your ears to wake you up in reality are also to be thankful for. A beautiful soul offering me their home for my 11 days quarantine, priceless!

My trip is a little overwhelming as it involves many expenses I would not be able to do without your help. My return trip is validated from only one airline so I need to purchase two other flights. Also, I need to stay my first 3 days in Canada, mandatory, in a hotel while waiting for my PCR test to come back, hopefully positive. From there I am going into 11 days quarantine for a total of 14 days. My hotel expense is not reimbursable as my SPUTNIK Vaccine is not acknowledged by Canada. Politics? Money? Who knows.

For us right now this is a major expense we can´t afford.

If you have read my other postings you would know I lost my job temporarily but as per today the School where I worked is only offering me 16 hours per week of work, which it doesn´t begin to cover what I have to send my mom for the living expenses, medicine and caretakers who will stay caring for her every day.

My two boys started working but now only one of them still works and the other lost his job.

My husband is not able to make ends meet for our whole family and my mom, on his own. He is quite sick that our savings have suffered so much during the last year and a half and quite frankly it´s so frustrating to be in this situation at this point in his life.

My mom is simply SAD. She is also scared to face loneliness again. We have come to be so close this whole time, we even sleep together. I understand how she feels but, it still breaks my heart. It´s too hard to say goodbye not knowing what the future holds. I trust God won´t let my hand go.

I wish I didn´t need this GoFundMe page, but I have to recognize without it my mom would not be here! Thank you GoFundMe for allowing me to reach so many good souls.

I really hope that whoever can support us somehow in the past, present and future will be bless with many good things in life and that your good deeds return to you exponentially.

All my love, until my next update hopefully with better news about my mom´s Canadian Visa, she really wants to meet my children.

Susana

Update: I feel is time to pause and reflect on the past 6 months since my arrival to Venezuela to rescue my dearest -almost 88 years old- mama. You all have made donations that she and I call BLESSING DONATIONS and without them, again, my mom would not be alive and well. She is now using a 4 point cane to walk, learning to walk again, literally.

As I have mentioned before, thanks are not enough to express our deepest gratitude.

I come to you again to help my mother and I during the last phase of this journey, I want to believe is the last phase. You would help us return home to our family in Vancouver, Canada.

Your donations are needed to:
- Pay for the remaining evening helpers who support my mom during the night as she wakes up 3 to 5 times to use the washroom (bladder condition).
- Pay for the passport application and the fees to recover the renewal sticker of my mom´s passport (The SAIME office is not open and I need to opt for a mediator who knows someone at the SAIME office).
- Pay for two airline tickets and luggage fees, travel insurance, which is required for traveling.

My kids ask me often: "When are you coming back?". Only God knows.
However I do believe that God is with us and your donations are greatly appreciated, without them I don´t know what else to do. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts. Amen.

I am in need of my community's support. My mom is 88 years old living by herself in Caracas, Venezuela. She just suffered an accident in her apartment that produced her pelvis and ankle fractures. She is in a public hospital at the moment and requires to be in bed for the next 6 to 8 weeks as she can't have surgery due to her age.

I need your help to provide daily and nightly care during this time. I need your help to be able to visit her as the airfare ticket is out of my current budget. I need your help to bring her as much comfort as possible in her last years of life by coming to live with me here in Canada. Her moving here will require many expenses that  I currently do not have.

I have been working two jobs to be able to provide for her but the new expenses go beyond this. Even my oldest son who is currently working full time has been supporting her too.

I need your support. May God bless you!
