This is our friend Barbara Smalley and her partner Ed Mangiafico.  Barbara has been a long time Social Worker giving her life to support people with advanced illnesses and helping people through their end of life process.
Ed is an attorney in the community and when they met it was love at first sight.
Shockingly, three weeks ago, Ed fell ill and when he went to the doctor, they found he has a glioblastoma, an incurable brain tumor. 
We are Barbara's work family and we are raising money to help them through this time. Your donation will be used to help pay for his treatment related costs that are not covered by health insurance (ie- co-pays, parking, meds, etc) and living expenses as they seek treatment.  With both of them not working and no income, the funds are needed as soon as possible.  Barbara has put her work on hold, so she can provide full time care for Ed. 
Barbara has spent a lot of her life caring for others.  Its time we care for her. Let's help her 'not sweat the small stuff' so she and Ed can give all their energy to treating his cancer.
