Hello everyone, it’s your favourite Scottish Princess here!
As you may, or may not know I’ve managed to get a place at Mountview Drama School in London. They only accept 32 people a year so I don’t know how I managed it but here we are. Last year I was accepted into The London School of Musical Theatre but had to suspend my place there due to coronavirus and the cost of the fees. As you may know these drama schools have a very high tuition fee cost which makes it difficult for working class actors to gain access to training that can be vital to their career within the performing arts industry.
Thanks to my last fundraiser (and all of your help!) I’ve managed to raise £2800. Now being eligible for student finance due to the course being an MA instead of an intensive year course, I am able to receive some money towards the tuition fees and now I only have to raise £3000 to meet this deficit which needs to be met by August.
I know it’s been a difficult time for everyone but even if you have a spare £1 it could truly make a difference and help get me to the place where I can genuinely make my dreams and career come true. We all have a fire burning inside of us and that’s what performing is to me and we should all have a shot of fulfilling our dreams despite what background in life we come from. Thank you to everyone who’s donated and If you want a personal song, poem, whatever you want (within reason now!) let me know and I’ll happily oblige.
Thank you for being beautiful people and keep on striving for your dreams because it’s what you deserve. Don’t let this pandemic stop you from doing what you love because you deserve to have that fire within you burn.
